Skin Conditions we treat at Niara Aesthetics
Open pores a.k.a enlarged pores, are a common skin concern. They occur when the sweat gland exits become clogged with excess oil, dirt, and dead skin cells. Open pores can make the skin appear rough, uneven, and prone to acne. They can become more prominent with age as collagen and elastin are lost along with sun damage.
What are open pores?
Pores cannot be closed but can be made less visible by proper treatments. Regular cleansing, exfoliation, and the use of non-comedogenic products can help keep the pores clean and reduce their size.

Acne is a common skin condition where you see the appearance of pimples, blackheads, and whiteheads on the face, chest, and back. It occurs when hair follicles become clogged with oil, dead skin cells, and bacteria, leading to inflammation and the formation of acne lesions
What is Acne?
Scars are your body’s response to repair the acne. Scars could be raised or in the form of pits in the skin. Acne scars can cause psychological distress, self-esteem issues and interfere with your social life or relationships. This is why it’s important to eliminate your acne before it has the chance to scar.

Melasma is a common skin problem. The condition causes dark, discolored patches on your skin, commonly the cheeks, nose and forehead. It’s also called chloasma, or the “mask of pregnancy,” when it occurs in pregnant women. The condition is much more common in women than men, though men can get it too.
What is Melasma?
For some women, melasma disappears on its own. This typically occurs when it’s caused by pregnancy or birth control pills. Our Dermatologists can prescribe medications that can lighten the skin as well as other procedures. These treatments strip away the top layers of skin and may help lighten dark patches.
These procedures don’t guarantee that melasma won’t come back, and some cases of melasma can’t be completely lightened. You might have to return for follow-up visits and stick to certain skin treatment practices to reduce the risk of the melasma returning. These include minimizing your sun exposure and wearing sunscreen daily.

Tattoo removal is a procedure done to try to remove an unwanted tattoo. Common techniques used for tattoo removal include laser surgery, surgical removal and dermabrasion. Tattoo ink is placed beneath the top layer of the skin. That makes tattoo removal more complicated — and expensive — than the original tattoo application.
Can my tattoo be removed?
With Laser removal, you'll likely need repeated sessions to lighten the tattoo, and rarely, it might not be possible to completely erase the tattoo.
Some tattoos can be surgically removed, so that only a small scar remains. Obviously, this is only practical for small tattoos.

Not everybody has excessive sweating. Also called Hyperhydrosis in medical terminology, many have more than the usual amount of sweating from the armpits/palms. This is not abnormal, but can be distressing to some.
Do I have Excessive Sweating?
Although this is a normal but increased amount of sweating it does not need treatment as such. If it is distressing you, there is a treatment in the form of neurotox injections which will help for some time.
